Contest Winner/New Ghostly Gothics Contest

Sorry this is a little late. The winner of the two random Gothic Novels is Kimberwolf. Please post here or email me within 48 hours to claim your prize! :)

The new contest will be for two "Ghostly Gothics." I'm just trying to do something different. That label of including ghosts could cover lots of potential novels. To enter to win, just post here by November 30th at 12am EST.

The odds are always good for these contests. If you entered by posting last time, you had a 20% chance of winning.

Count me in for your contest too! I love ghosties. I'm still reading the book Dragonwyck that I won in one of your earlier contests and I am really enjoying it. Even though I've never seen the movie made from this book, I can just imagine Vincent Price playing the part of Nicholas.

Dragonwyck is one of my favorite books. The movie is good but the book is better.

I am just getting ready to read a classic ghost gothic The Unforeseen by Dorothy Macardle. She also wrote The Uninvited which I have not read but I saw the movie. It is also on my TBR.

The Unforeseen & The Uninvited by Dorothy Macardle look like very interesting books. I checked my local public library here in Topeka, KS and they didn't have any books by Macardle, darn! Guess I'll have to start watching for them when I go to some old book sales. That is a big plus about reading this blog, adding to the old TBR list! Okay, maybe that's also a bad thing. My list is longer than I anticipate living. Is anyone else's list long?

I was rearranging some bookshelves trying to make room for more bookshelves and I came across a book by Dorothy Macardle that I didn't realize I owned. It is called Dark Enchantment written in 1953. I'm in luck after all!

Oooh, Clark. I hope you like that one. I reviewed it and thought it was pretty awful. I have heard, though, that The Uninvited is amazing.

I'm in Canada, can I play? If not, that's OK. Just found this blog and I really like it. Thanks for all these recs!

Simone, yes! You can play. I lived in Canada for two years and wouldn't dream of not having our northern friends in the contests! :)

What about southern friends?
I'm in Australia and just love those haunted gothic storylines. Lynn

Sure, Lynn. :) It just might take a bit longer to get there if you win one.
