I have drawn names for the two winners for the last contest, and Stacela and Sara are the winners of a Gothic Horror novel apiece. :) The odds were really great on that last one.

I love Phyllis A. Whitney. I use to check her books out of the school library and was disappointed they only had a few.
I have a bunch of gothic books I've yet to catalogue. I believe I have a few Phyllis Whitney novels and I know for sure I have one of her 'young adult' titles on my book case from when I bought it through the Scholastic book club! How's that for dating myself? :)

Phyllis Whitney was one of my favorite authors when I was a teen, up there with Victoria Holt, Dorothy Daniels, and Dorothy Eden. I'd love to read some of her works I haven't found yet, or reread some of my favorites. I DO prefer the ones that aren't starring a heroine reeling from a divorce, though. they always smacked of some personal bitterness in Whitney's life, and made it harder to identify with the characters...

Hi, Crystal. I agree with you there...'The Singing Stones' is one that didn't work for me at all. I tried reading it again last year I think, and I just couldn't get into it.
